Meet Dr. Christin Sylvester D.O.

Meet Dr. Christin Sylvester is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist with specialty fellowship training in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions affecting infants, children, adolescents and young adults. She has 20 years of clinical experience that includes a decade at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she served as a fellowship director for pediatric ophthalmology. She also serves as one of the pediatric specialists at Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association caring for the greater Pittsburgh area.

Dr. Sylvester attended Duquesne University for undergraduate studies followed by medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in ophthalmology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and her fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Dr. Sylvester will be offering surgical services for conditions like strabismus (misaligned eyes), nasolacrimal duct obstructions, eyelid lesions, and common pediatric eye problems. She is caring and compassionate with two teenagers of her own. She was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, so she cheers for all things black and gold. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, yoga, skiing, and cooking.
